Jamie Moore – ‘Smooth guitarist – vocalist with melodic style and selective eclecticism.’ – Jack Massarik from The Standard

Dave Reay and Jamie Moore share a passion for guitar that shines through in every style they play, whether it’s Latin, Gypsy, swing or relaxed soul and fusion. In the trio In A Chord, they’re joined by drummer/percussionist John Willis, who adds an extra dimension to their sound on kit or cajon. The trio have played a range of jazz clubs and festivals in the South-East, right up to the Pizza Express, Soho.

Canadian born Jamie is expressive and fiery on classical guitar, puts the swing into a jazz favourite, then tops it off with smooth transatlantic vocals. He’s also a prolific composer with three albums of originals to his credit. After touring nationally in Canada and the US he made his home in London, playing shows and concerts and holding residencies in several West End Hotels.

Dave Reay employs a unique fingerstyle technique for the Bebop lines he favours, then switches to plectrum for some extra speed and attack on steel string acoustic. The fluency and excitement of his playing are guaranteed to create a stir. He also composes and contributes some originals to the set. He has toured nationally and recorded three albums in an acoustic jazz/folk duo with his wife, Gay, and played across the South East with a variety of jazz, blues and rock outfits.

The duo’s current album, “In A Chord” features favourites from their repertoire, including two originals and standards from Duke Ellington and Django Reinhardt to Al di Meola and Santana.
